mybumhole-deactivated20111205 asked: In regard to your post about the existence of God, I would just like to open with a quote from François-Marie Arouet Voltaire, 1768 "If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him". So if you think about that, you can not really ever prove the existence of God, nor can you disprove. It is the belief alone that makes him real. For people who don't believe, he does not appear real, and vice versa. Just because you can't see the wind, doesn't mean its not blowing.

I have to say, that is the best response I have ever received, so thank you for that. I do however, hold my own beliefs. To have faith in God is a great thing. (As I believe we all have the right to think as we wish.) There are however, certain aspects in the religion that conflict with my morals and are simply too large to ignore. Just as an example, I am comfortable with my sexuality and believe I was born that way, yet I have followers of God saying I face damnation although I have done nothing to deserve that.
